Cannot attach the belt clip to my Philips device

Belt clip not locking in position properly. Position the grip found on the back of the belt clip so that it fits into the belt clip hole of the player. While gently pressing on the belt clip (above the belt clip hole), turn the clip to the right (clockwise) to LOCK position (as marked on player).
