My Philips Garment steamer makes a croaking sound

The rasping sound of your Philips Garment steamer is caused by condensed water inside the hose. Find out how to prevent this from happening.

Straighten the hose

When the hose forms a U-shape, the condensation cannot flow back to the steamer base, thus a croaking sound and irregular steam may occur.

To minimise the croaking sound, always extend the pole to the suggested height during use in order to keep the hose straight.
