If your Philips Wet & Dry Handheld Vacuum Cleaner is leaking, this may be due to various causes. See below for all possible causes and solutions.
Troubleshooting
My Philips Wet & Dry handheld vacuum cleaner is leaking
The filter and/or the dust bag compartment was still wet
It is important to check if the filter and/or the dust bag compartment was still wet when you placed it back into your Philips Wet & Dry Handheld Vacuum Cleaner. Always make sure the filter is dry before you place it back into the dust compartment and that the dust compartment is dry too before you assemble it onto the appliance.
The filter holder is not placed properly in the dust compartment
Always make sure the filter and the deflector have been placed in the dust compartment properly before you start sucking up liquids with your appliance.
The dust compartment has too much liquid
If the maximum amount of liquid the dust compartment can hold has been exceeded, please empty the dust compartment.
The vacuum cleaner is not held in the correct way during use
Always suck up liquids with the nozzle pointing downwards and with the appliance at an angle of about 30 degrees.
