If your Philips Steam Iron has stopped producing steam, please read our troubleshooting advice below to solve this.
If there is no water in the water tank of your Philips Steam Iron, your iron is not able to generate steam. Please refill the water tank with water. After this, your iron should work again.
In this case, wait until the orange "temperature indicator" light switches off, then your iron will be ready to produce steam.
Note: For the irons with OptimalTemp, the iron-ready light will stay on when the iron is ready to produce steam.
If you have a Philips Steam Iron with a temperature dial, always make sure that the temperature dial is at the 2-dot, 3-dot or LINEN position. Your Philips Iron does not produce steam when the temperature dial is at the 1-dot position, the SYNTH setting or in Calc-Clean. Tilt your iron upwards and select the steam setting with the steam slider on top of the handle.
