My Philips device does not respond to the remote

This might be because: * The Hold feature is activated. Deactivate the function by sliding the switch to OFF (Depending on model, the switch is located on the side or on the back of the device) * Connection to the remote control is loose. Make sure the cable to the remote control is firmly inserted into the CD OUT/REMOTE socket
