DVD player

Excellent.. basic model that meets my need,i.e. to watch DVDs!

Value for money. But it would be better if RGB cable can be given since the product support it.

Audio cables not supplied should indicated outside the box and not on the user manual.

The player consistently freezes for brief moments during playback of DVD`s, normally at least once per film but aoccasionally as many as four times. These DVD`s play perfectly well on other players and I am certain is an issue with the player itself. . Issue has not arisen with DivX (AVI) files, but I have found occasionally it can have issues with DivX and not play them when other players have no problems. . This has put me off buying Philips |DVD players in the future if honest.

My previous Philips DVD player had lasted years, and being happy with that purchase, I without hesitation decided to buy another Philips DVD player. Within the 5 years since my last purchase, evidently the workmanship has declined a great deal. This DVD player skips, freezes and audio-video go distractedly out of sync on DVDs that were fine on my previous DVD player. Next time I will shop around before assuming the manufacturer of a previously good product would continue to do justice to its later models.
