Car audio video system

i love it and will be taking it with me to my next car lol

i like the clear sound quality, but my subwoofer level only adjusts to 12db instead of 14db as specified on the user manual. I only decided to install the device in December 2014

I have to admit I was initially a little sceptical regarding this product as I'm a believer in the old adage 'you only get what you pay for.' The fact it was a Philips was the only reason I considered it. It was a leap of faith as it's only available in Aust. on line, so I never had the opportunity try before you buy. After a couple of weeks of testing I must admit I'm impressed, for a budget unit it's very good. Its functionality is in the most part intuitive and what isn't is easily worked out with a little experimentation. The touch screen works well and has a good quality picture. The audio, with a decent set of speakers is better than most units I've heard with similar power outputs. The big surprise though was the GPS system, it's maps are relatively up to date and it's very comprehensively programed with POI, speed limit warnings etc. The next cheapest similar named brand unit I looked at was over four times the price. I however can't comment on the reliability, but what I can say is I've never had a problem with Philips electronics in the past. Over all I'd rate this unit as excellent value for money.

I paid a bargain 195 pounds Sterling new on Ebay so this probably affects my review. This is a very competent DVD/CD/MP3/FM AM Radio and GPS system. The only negative is the operating system which is the poorly supported Windows CE 6. If it ran on standard Android then it would be superb.

No clock display when car ignition key is turn on.

I bought what I thought was an upgrade from my CED750, only to find out that this one was quite inferior. Although the screen resolution, color depth and graphics have improved, there are a lot less features and its a lot less access to settings and customization. Not very happy with this when I paid thinking I would be getting more features.

[Employee of philipsglobal] This is my second unit, the first was replaced under warranty. The GPS is hard to see under sunny conditions, the volume of the GPS is low and cannot be heard clearly under normal conditions. When one needs voice directions, it cuts over anything else that is playing, which cancels say, the music, but then the so-called audible directions cant be understood. It has all the features that i needed, ie GPS, Music, Bluetooth etc, but the touch panel is cumbersome and difficult to operate whilst driving. Philips ? Never again !!!!!!

Purchased this item few months ago. It worked ok for 6 months. Then the GPS stopped working, followed by the screen being solid on even when engine is off. And now it s completely blank. Radio works but cannot select any function from touch screen. Tried to disconnect, reset etc... nothing Be carefull
