Subtitle Shift is an enhancement feature that lets users manually adjust a movie's subtitle positioning on the television or computer screen. Using the remote control, users can shift the subtitles up and down on the screen. On widescreen displays, such as 21:9 cinema and projectors, the subtitles sometimes get cut off. In order to see them clearly, the user has to change the display aspect ratio, which defeats the purpose of the widescreen. With the Subtitle Shift feature, the user can retain the correct display aspect ratio and have the subtitles ideally positioned on the screen.

Product is very slow
The picture qualitity is excellent , which to be honest is why i bought a blue ray player , it takes an age to load some disks , the longest was 4 mins ..when turned on it goes to play the disk even if no disk is loaded , so you have to let it run its course to find no disk , then you can open the tray ??? this issnt a problem ,but i have to wait for it , i am the master but with this i feel im not . The menu is ok , does what it needs , it has features i havnt used .. The usb player is good plays everything i so far have tried playing on it , again a little slow.. DONT like the soft touch buttons , ie you press eject , then wait 10 seconds sometimes nothing you press again and the silly thing reloads the disk and goes through the play cycle again .... Overall a good player , just sooooo slow to do anything ,

Product was deleted by Philips service after 1,5 year.
Very good quality of sound and image, excellent design, but pilot was not very convenient to use. |Average compatibility with some media files. Unfortunately after year and 2 month a disc reader was starting to broke. After 1,5 year player didn't "see" any kind of disc - CD, DVD, Blu-ray - as orginally, as recordable. In Philips service I heard, that a mending is not profitability, and my vendor (RTV-Euro-AGD company) gave me back my money. So I think, that 1,5 of year is too short time for this (rather expencive) equipment.
