How to descale my SENSEO® Coffee Machine

1. Fill a jug with 1 litre of water
2. Pour one half of the bottle into the jug
3. Pour the descaling mixture into the water tank up to the maximum indication
4. Place the water tank back onto your SENSEO® Coffee Machine

1. Press the power button to turn on your SENSEO® Coffee Machine
2. Place the 1-cup pod holder with a used coffee pod inside it into the coffee machine. Close the lid and make sure it is properly locked
3. Place an empty jug under the coffee spout to collect the descaling mixture
4. Press the 2-cup button and let it run. Repeat this until the water tank is empty

If you have a SENSEO® Coffee Machine with a smaller water tank of 1 litre, add the rest of the descaling mixture to the water tank until all the descaling mixture is used.

The first descaling cycle is now finished. Continue with the second descaling cycle. Note: Never interrupt the descaling process

1. Again, fill the jug with 1 litre of water
2. Pour the other half of the bottle into the jug
3. Pour the descaling mixture into the water tank
4. Place the water tank back onto your SENSEO® Coffee Machine
5. Replace the 1-cup pod holder with the 2-cup pod holder and another used coffee pod. Close the lid and make sure it is properly locked
6. Reposition the empty jug under the coffee spout
7. Press the 2-cup button and let it run. Repeat this until the water tank is empty

If you have a SENSEO® Coffee Machine with a smaller water tank of 1 litre, add the rest of the descaling mixture to the water tank until all the descaling mixture is used.

All descaling cycles are now finished. Start rinsing the appliance to remove any descaling solution.

1. Replace the 2-cup pod holder with an empty 1-cup pod holder. Close the lid and make sure it is properly locked
2. Rinse the water tank under the tap
3. Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the maximum indication
4. Place an empty jug under the coffee spout
5. Press the 2-cup button to start rinsing. Repeat this until the water tank is empty

1. Rinse the water tank under the tap
2. Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the maximum indication
3. Place an empty jug under the coffee spout
4. Press the 2-cup button to start rinsing. Repeat this until the water tank is empty

You have now successfully completed the descaling procedure. Your SENSEO® Coffee Machine is now ready to brew that perfect cup of coffee again.
