Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Philips epilator have two speeds?

Different body areas require different speeds. Our epilators with 2 speeds always start at speed II (fast). Change to speed I (slow) if you experience any pain.

Speed 1: intended for epilating

  • Areas with little hair growth
  • Hard-to-reach areas
  • Areas with bones directly beneath the skin, such as knees and ankles

Speed 2 (higher speed): intended for epilating

  • Larger areas
  • Areas with more hair growth

Note: You can only select Speed 2 while the epilating head is attached.

How to select the speed:

You select the speed by pressing the on/off button once or twice (press once for speed 2 and press twice for speed 1).
