Semiconductors - CABUYAO

Philips Semiconductors Cabuyao is a state-of-the-art facility for the assembly and testing of more than 5,000 different discrete products. It is a recognized competence center for Power products, RF infrastructure, RF mobile communication and General Application products located at the Light Industry and Science Park I in Cabuyao, Laguna.

It started assembling low tech light emitting diodes (LED) and old metal can transistors in 1981. By 1985, Philips Semiconductors Cabuyao received its first recognition for quality excellence – the European Quality Award. Customer confidence grew and companies like Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, AT&T, Siemens, Bosch, and Sony among others spurred the growth of the PSPI, that beginning in the early 1990s included assembly and test of power components and modules (RF, Video, CATV).

The plant is ISO 9001, ISO 9002, ISO 9004 and ISO 14001 accredited.
