Philips welcomes new Lighting Solutions General Manager


Chestnut Andaya has joined the Philips family in bringing better lighting to its consumers

MANILA, Philippines – Philips, a global leader in lighting, recently welcomed Chestnut Andaya as their new General Manager for Lighting in the Philippines. Andaya brings with her over 30 years of top leadership experience from a multinational technology firm. As General Manager, she will now be overseeing the lighting sector of Philips Philippines.

 

When asked about what drew her to making Philips her new home, Andaya said: “Philips is an exciting company to be with because we in many ways serve our communities through the products that we sell. Philips is a market leader not only in lighting but also in consumer lifestyle, and healthcare, and we constantly push ourselves to provide products that enhance the lives of customers here and around the world.”

 

On her being called to lead Philips’ lighting sector in the country, Andaya said that, as a company dedicated to continuous innovation and top-quality service, Philips has a corporate culture centered on employees who share the company’s ideals and aspirations. In Andaya’s view, paramount among these values is the goal of using technology and innovation to better people’s lives in real, meaningful ways.

“Lower total cost of ownership, longer product life spans, superior safety features, and unparalleled consistency in brightness are just some of the areas where we have the opportunity to distinguish ourselves from the competition,” she said. “We have a lot of new exciting products coming out soon, and the company has taken a great amount of time to ensure that these products would address pressing consumers’ needs.”
